Daily Specials!
All you need is your smartphone.
The system we have in place allows you to take a photo of the special (with either your smartphone or a digital camera), enter in the relevant details (item, description and price) and then submit it to the website. This process updates the website instantaneously.
Once you’ve built up a library of specials, you’ll do nothing more than select previous specials and click submit. We can even allow the system to automatically change the special based on the day of the week...
"If it's Tuesday, then it must be Filet Mignon".
Let's walk through the process...
Step 1.
Upon selecting the "Update The Daily Food Special" link from your admin screen, you will be brought to the camera screen. Tapping the "camera" icon opens the camera app on your smartphone.
You'll take a photo of the special plate for the day. Be sure to frame the item to maximize the photo to fill the space on your website specials page.
You'll be able to retake the photo as many times as needed.
Step 2.
Once your satisfied with your shot (you can retry as many time as needed), you will then select the "Upload Photo" button from your screen to upload the photo to the website.
This will take a few moments as the photo is properly sized to fit the alloted space of your specials page.
NOTES:
Keep in mind, as you add specials to the website, you'll be building a library of specials to use at a later date.
This will allow you to update your daily special without having to go through the process of taking a photo and adding the relevant details. All the work is done.
Editing of a price or description change to any of your library specials is a quick and easy process.
Step 3.
Finally you'll add the title, description and price for the special.
Once complete, click the "Add Details & Submit to Website" button to submit and install the special to the website.
That's it... you're done. You'll be amazed at how easy it is
